Engage Education: Capacities Statement, M-NCPPC
At Engage Education, we’ve been offering educational, training and learning services for adults and youth since 2005. This includes workshops, professional development, adult leadership and empowerment training, youth and K-5 interactive STEAM programming, summer camps, after-school programming, online platforms with animated stories, games, activities and educational materials and supplies. With our home in the Gateway Arts District (located along Route 1 and Baltimore Avenue, south of College Park, MD), we’ve been working in Prince George’s communities, organizations, businesses schools since 2015. We have also formerly done work with M-NCPPC, delivering youth programming and training.
We are especially proud of our accomplishments. We developed the first interactive and multimedia youth stories and materials about Harriet Tubman’s life and activism in Maryland and New York for the National Park Service.
Our innovations earned us a nomination for the UNESCO Prize for Literacy Improvement Through Digital Books. As a proud graduate of Maryland’s Towson University StarTUP at the Armory accelerator—named the #1 university economic development program in the U.S.—we continue to push boundaries in education, learning and training. Our work has been honored internationally, with nominations by UNESCO for programming awards and recognition from iMums Net, RM Books, Starbucks, and the Library of Congress.
Engage Education is a Maryland-registered and Maryland-based women and minority owned small business.
